Ponnila
Maternal Fetal Medicine
Ponnila works as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician. She is committed to helping pregnant individuals with either maternal co-morbidities or fetal complications walk through their pregnancies. She is also directing a Perinatal Loss Program for those families who experience pregnancy and infant loss.
Her research interests focus on using uterine electromyography as a means for understanding both the physiology of uterine contractions and the implication of different uterine signaling patterns on preterm and term labor. These interests in cervical shortening and preterm labor carry over clinically, and she additionally has a special interest in critical care obstetrics. Ponnila also has a passion for medical student, resident, and fellow education and has been recognized with several teaching awards throughout her early career.
Mark
Critical Care Cardiology
Mark works as a critical care cardiologist being board certified in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine. Most of his time is spent in the cardiac ICU managing critically ill cardiac patients. Mark is also the director of the pulmonary embolism response team at the University of Rochester.

When not taking care of ICU patients he is rounding on the general cardiology floors and reading echocardiograms.
